I saw HYDE PARK ON HUDSON! A sort of dramedy(I guess) about FDR(Bill Murray) his mistress(Linda Linney) and the first US meeting of the King and Queen of England(Samuel West & Olivia Coleman). The performances are sharp and the script is well written and full of heart and tasteful, delving into serious issues while remaining light by relying on subtlety and wit to drive its comedy. If you liked The King's Speech, this is a film not to be missed as Sam West's performance is simply brilliant! I really loved this movie. It's got a great story especially the part centering on the King and Queen, though the mistress story seems somewhat less interesting as the King's story takes off. Overall HYDE PARK ON HUDSON is full of drama, laughs, and heart and deserves a 3... out of 5.
