I happened to catch DELIVERY MAN the other day! Those of you looking for a honest and heartfelt film to check out this thanksgiving should take this film into consideration. At first glance it looks like a cookie cutter, feel good film about an irresponsible loser, played by Vince Vaughn, who finds out his anonymously donated sperm has sired over 500 children, many of which are suing to find out his identity, and all of the hijinx that ensue as the characters learn a lesson about taking responsibility and love... and it is, it really is BUT that doesn't stop it from being an enjoyable film. The movie is well paced, decently shot, Vaughan does a good job and Chris Pratt, the actor who plays Vaughn's best friend and lawyer, is flat out hysterical and almost steals the show. Overall the film strikes a good balance between heartfelt emotion and genuinely funny moments and although its really standard fare that's probably a little bit too predictable, on the whole its still a good time at the theater. Delivery Man gets a 3.5... out of 5.
