TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS

I saw the new NINJA TURTLES! The new Michael Preston directed, Michael Bay produced film serves up another slice of #TurtlePower to a new generation of Ninja Turtles fans as the green machine takes on inter-dimensional baddies looking to bring a war machine to rain down hell on our world.

If you will harken back to 1991 remember being disappointed by the fact that TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze didn't have Beebop, Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, Krang or the Technodrome in it, this movie is an apology to your inner child. Notice I said "child" because if you're a 36 year old man walking in expecting Leonardo to chop the Shredder's head off and spray blood all over the walls, this movie isn't for you. That edginess died with the first movie back in the Eastman and Laird days. However, if you still want to see some good ol' T-U-R-T-L-E POWER taking names and cutting the Shredder #noslack then this is really something you'll like. Take your kids out and have a fun time at the movies because after all, that's what this entire franchise is about. Pizza and fun. Now, the the internet community may disagree with me and believe that somehow making another silly ninja turtles movie is an affront to their childhood but really people, put the words: teenage, mutant, ninja and turtles in any other combination and listen to how ridiculous you sound. TMNT: Out of the Shadows is a welcomed throwback to the good old 90s cartoon and earns itself a respectable 3.5... out of 5.
