I saw THE IMPOSSIBLE late last night! An incredible story about a family's fight survival after their vacation resort is ravaged by a tsunami. I sat on the edge of my seat biting my knuckles while watching this movie. Raw, frightening and totally real! This is what all those natural disaster movies wish they could do. The cinematography is Oscar worthy and puts you right in the middle of the harrowing ordeal. Excellent acting by everyone involved and even the children were top notch. The standouts, however were Naomi Watts and Tom Holland who play a mother and her young son. Watts sells every bit of pain of a woman on at her wits end and may just pick up a golden statue because of it while Holland (who is the REAL star of the movie) is one of the finest young actors I have ever seen. This was honestly one of the best movies I have seen all year and deserves far more praise than it has been given. The Impossible earns itself a perfect 5...out of 5.
