Over the weekend I saw PAIN & GAIN. What a fun flick. If you liked movies like Crank or Bad Boys 2 you'll like this. Directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, this movie is colorful, fast paced and always funny despite the very zany, dark and apparently very true nature of the story. As of late I haven't been a big fan of Michael Bay but his off the wall style really works here depicting the fast and furious life of three moronic muscle heads in mid 90s Miami and hilarious performances by Wahlberg and especially Johnson bring it home. If I can give it any bad marks, I'd say it runs just a little teeny bit too long but otherwise its quite good overall. Pain & Gain gets a 4... out of 5.
