Though it may look like a Tom Cruise vanity project, this movie really is the real deal. Cruise delivers as the the title character and oozes confidence and charisma as he plays a role originally designed more for a Ray Stevenson type. Those are literally big shoes to fill but even still Cruise proves to be more than adequate. Reacher is well directed, and the storytelling is way more polished than the average action mystery thriller and it earns it's metal with a 4.5... out of 5.
