2 GUNS

I saw 2 GUNS last night! Whoa! What a movie! Now this is one I can really get behind. Some would say that this summer has been rather generic as far as movies go and some would go so far as to say its been somewhat boring. However, if you like action, comedy and just an all around good time at the movies you NEED to check out 2 Guns! This film, Directed by Baltasar Kormákur, is decked out with awesome cinematography, a great story that's thoroughly engaging the whole way through and honestly one of the best put together casts I've seen in recent years. Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg have an amazing rapport through this and their riffing and really made this movie something special. Similarly, Bill Paxton's laid back and relaxed "why don't I just go ahead and kill ya" demeanor at points raised the hair on my arms. All that and I still haven't mentioned how good Edward James Olmos or Paula Patton are in this but trust, you wanna SEE this movie! If you like buddy cop action movies like Lethal Weapon or 48 Hours or Bad Boys, you'll like this and trust me, this movie is right up there with them. Do yourself a favor and check out 2 Guns whenever you get the chance. You won't be sorry! 2 Guns gets the coveted 5... out of 5.
