NOBODY
I saw NOBODY the other day. I’m a tremendous action movie fan. More than most people, I think. Many times I find myself getting so hyped up that I’m leaning over the couch pointing the remote like a gun and working my microwave like it’s a sensitive nuclear bomb, pulling my popcorn out one second before the countdown ends. Like many people, I begin to wonder just how far I, a regular guy, would make it in a John Wick situation. If you’ve ever been like me, Nobody is the movie for you. Nobody tells the story of Hutch, a regular suburban father, played by Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk, who seeks restitution after his home is broken into by thieves. He gets more than he bargained for though, when a tussle with petty thugs catches the eye of an army of vengeful Russian mobsters who proceeded to turn this regular Joe’s world upside down. This movie, directed by Hardcore Henry’s Ilya Naishuller, obviously draws inspiration from movies like John Wick and Crank but with a realistic twist. U
